Removing drives with space to spare
Drobo 5C

8TB+8TB+4TB+4TB+3TB

I would like to remove the 3TB drive because I have excess space and want to set up an internal RAID in my workstation but I am concerned something will go wrong. Is this possible?

RE: Removing drives with space to spare
Depends how much space is being used in your Drobo, and whether you are using SDR or DDR.

Drobo (Gen2)
Drobo 5N

If I remove it I will have enough space left for it to function... 11TB Used and 5TB free... I am on DDR as well...

I guess if it doesn't work I can always stick the drive back in.

RE: Removing drives with space to spare
Then by my math you should be OK removing it.

Drobo (Gen2)
Drobo 5N
